In response to growing awareness of seismic risk in Southeast Asia, Malaysia has updated its building regulations to reflect the rare but potential risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Designed for Resilience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lantern Bangsar was designed with these safety considerations in mind. Although our development received planning approval before the formal gazetting of Eurocode 8 in Malaysia (December 2021), our structural design incorporates the relevant seismic provisions outlined in the <strong>Eurocode 8 (EN 1998)<\/strong> standard. This ensures that the building is engineered to effectively withstand earthquake-induced forces, consistent with the most recent guidelines applied to high-rise construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is Eurocode 8?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eurocode 8 is the European standard for the design of earthquake-resistant structures.
