No matter you are a seasoned homeowner or new to the process, picking a high quality kitchen set can be challenging, a seamless kitchen workflow design, durable materials, aesthetics…etc. At The Lantern Bangsar, the Developer had done all the work for the residents by delving into the fundamentals of practical and low-maintenance kitchen, alleviating the burden of selection. All you have to do is just enjoy Bofi’s high-end quality kitchen!

Tips No.1: Kitchen cabinet panel/door and hinge selection

There are many kitchen cabinet finishes to choose from. The Developer opted for premium PU spray paint finish for the cabinet door panels as this finish is renowned for its exceptional resistance to moisture and durable. In terms of design outlook, choosing a timeless design with simplicity and versatility while giving a modern touch, flat-panel cabinets which are sleek and streamlined look can show off resident’s taste.

It is important to pay attention to even the smallest detail such as hinges mechanism to ensure smooth and flawless cabinet operation. At the Lantern Bangsar, the choice fell on Hafele, a renowned German brand known for its high quality.  Soft closing hinges by Hafele have a built-in mechanism that helps reduce noise when using kitchen cabinet and ultimately prolongs the life of the cabinets themselves.

Tips No.2: Kitchen countertop material

The Developer selected natural Quartz countertop instead of marbles or solid surface mainly due to considerations of (1) non-porous to reduce colouring on the surface, (2) bacteria resistance and (3) its lifetime durability.

In aesthetic consideration, the natural stone enhances its color consistency, perfectly seamless blended between one slab and the next slab especially for lighter or subtler color options.

Tips No.3: Kitchen Backsplash

Tempered glass backsplash is stronger and more durable than tiles or laminate. Once installed the glass will last the life time of the kitchen. Tiles would have to be regularly re-grouted and retiled to continue looking as good over the years. Thus, the kitchen cabinets in the Lantern Bangsar are fitted with toughened glass backsplash which provided sleeker kitchen design and also ensures minimal maintenance over the years.

Tips No.4: The Unsung hero of Kitchen – Aluminium Skirting with ventilation design

One often overlooked element in kitchen design is the skirting, used to cover the gap between the bottom of the cabinets and the floor. Aluminium is known for its strength and resistance to corrosion and also anti termite, thus it does not warp or rot over time, making it ideal for use in the kitchen where moisture and waster spills are common.

This practical addition not only enhances the overall aesthetic but also offers long-lasting protection and easy maintenance. The aluminum skirting can also be removed for easy cleaning.

Tips No.5: Wide drawer selection

The Lantern Bangsar prioritized user convenience in drawer cabinet design. Instead of standard 450mm or 600mm width, the Developer opted for costlier and larger, more spacious 900mm drawer. This thoughtful decision, combined with the inclusion of premium aluminium cutlery tray, significantly enhances everyday kitchen utility, hygienic and organization. Based on our experience at Bofi Malaysia, usually this type of wider drawer width will only be opted in bungalows.

Tips No.6: Hood & Hob that are being used on daily basis

The Lantern Bangsar selected the German brand, Hafele mainly due to their appliances are meticulously crafted using premium materials and undergo rigorous testing to ensure optimal performance and safety.
